Hello, my name is Eric Meyer and when asked who I am as a person this is the most basic response. But I do have more depth to me than that. I come from a family of four that lived in the lives in the suburbs of Livonia, Michigan. I Have one older brother who chose not to go to school and works in a plastics factory as a manager. My parents have been together for 25 years and are still happily married so there were never any drastic circumstances growing up. In my lifetime I have not experienced any major losses, I mean sure I've been down, but i have maintained a positive outlook on things. I knew from a young age that I wanted to go to Michigan State University, so far my entire career in school I have worked hard. I did well enough in middle school to be placed on the AP track in high school. Because I took a lot of AP classes I like to think that I have a well rounded background in academics, that is to start at the college level. Even though I had a lot of work to do in school I always found time for extracurricular activities such as soccer, video games, piano or hanging out with friends. Growing up I lived in a neighborhood that had a lot of kids in it that were my age therefor I always had multiple friends to hang out with. I was always with a group of people and am a very outgoing person. I used to be rather timid when I was very young though because I had a stutter in my speech and I did not want people to think I was inferior. I took speech classes as a kid and it is no longer a problem in my life. As a writer I took four years of advanced placement English classes, and have written many essays and impromptus writings. I always received between an A- and a B+ in these courses, but never really enjoyed to write. I mostly think of it has something I am required to do, though I do understand its significance and importance. However I do enjoy reading and have read many novels for both pleasure and purpose. I know that if I put in effort I can construct great works, and i hope I can get you to enjoy my writings as well.
